Rua Lalai is the stage name of Mumbai-based lyricist, producer, and vocalist Arunima Kumar. Her genre blending sound can be best described as alternative hip-hop: electronic pop rock music with rap and singing vocals. 

Rua uses uncommon chord progressions and a fusion of electronically produced sounds to achieve the surreal, dreamy vibe that is characteristic of her tracks.
